Every Mapvie poster is designed by you, in our studio. The geography underneath it comes from open data projects built by people all over the world. We are grateful to them, and we credit them here.
City, country and world maps

- Protomaps – our map tiles are built with the open source Protomaps project, from OpenStreetMap data.
- MapLibre – maps are drawn with the open source MapLibre GL JS library.
- Natural Earth – coastlines and country shapes. Made with Natural Earth, free vector map data in the public domain.
- geoBoundaries – administrative boundaries from geoBoundaries, licensed under CC BY 4.0.
- GeoNames – place names from GeoNames, licensed under CC BY 4.0.
- ESA WorldCover – tree cover on country and state maps from the ESA WorldCover 2021 map (© ESA WorldCover project 2021, contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data processed by the ESA WorldCover consortium), licensed under CC BY 4.0.
