Our store is hosted on Shopify, which provides the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and Services to you. Our map editor is hosted separately at studio.mapvie.com and forms part of the same Service.

You may not use our products for illegal or unauthorized purposes or violate any laws in your jurisdiction while using the Service (including but not limited to copyright laws). You must not transmit any worms, viruses, or destructive code. A breach or violation of any Terms will result in immediate termination of Services.

Section 2: General conditions

We reserve the right to refuse Service to anyone for any reason at any time.

You understand that your content (excluding credit card information) may be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks and (b) changes to conform to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any part of the Service without express written permission.

Section 3: The map editor and your design

Our map editor allows you to choose a location, adjust the map, and add your own text, dates, names and icons to a poster.

You are responsible for the content you add to your design. You agree not to submit text that is unlawful, offensive, threatening, defamatory, or that infringes the rights of any third party. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order whose content, in our reasonable judgment, breaches this section, and to refund it in full.

The preview shown in the map editor represents your artwork as it will be produced. Please review it carefully before ordering; see our Return, Cancellation & Refund Policy for how cancellations work.

Map data. The maps are generated from OpenStreetMap data, © OpenStreetMap contributors, made available under the Open Database License. Place names, street layouts and other map details come from that data and may occasionally be incomplete, out of date or inaccurate. We do not warrant that any map is suitable for navigation or for any purpose other than decoration.

On country and world posters, borders, coastlines and place names also come from geoBoundaries (CC BY 4.0), Natural Earth and GeoNames (CC BY 4.0). On star maps, the stars come from the Yale Bright Star Catalogue, the constellation figures from the IAU and Sky & Telescope by way of d3-celestial, and the Milky Way is derived from a panorama by ESO/S. Brunier (CC BY 4.0). A star map is calculated for the place and time you enter; it is a decorative piece, not an astronomical instrument.

Design ownership. You keep the rights to the text and personal content you add. The artwork we produce from your design is supplied for your own personal, non-commercial use. Digital files may not be resold, redistributed, sub-licensed or used commercially, and may be printed by you for your own use only. We retain all rights in the map editor itself, in our layouts, styles, icons, templates and in the MAPVIE brand.

Section 4: Accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of information

We are not responsible if information on this site is inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. The material is provided for general information only and should not be solely relied upon for decisions.

Section 5: Modifications to the Service and prices

Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service or any content thereof without notice.

Prices are displayed in your local currency where available. Currency conversion is performed automatically and rates may change.

In the European Union and the United Kingdom, the price shown is the final price: it already includes any VAT that applies in your country. VAT is charged for the country of the address you give at checkout, so if that address is in a different country from the one you are browsing from, the checkout shows that country’s price before you pay.

Section 6: Products or Services

Products may be available exclusively online and in limited quantities. Descriptions and pricing are subject to change without notice.

We do not guarantee that product colors and images will be accurately displayed on all devices. Screens differ in calibration, brightness and color range, and printed ink on paper or canvas cannot reproduce a backlit screen exactly. Minor differences between the preview and the printed artwork are normal and are not considered a fault.

Physical products are available for delivery to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia only. Framed prints are not available for delivery to Canada. Printable digital files are available worldwide. Please refer to our Shipping Policy and our Return, Cancellation & Refund Policy for details.

Section 7: Accuracy of billing and account information

We reserve the right to refuse or limit orders at our discretion. If changes or cancellations are made to an order, we will notify you via email. It is your responsibility to provide current and accurate information for transactions, including a complete and correct delivery address.

Section 8: Optional tools

We may provide access to third-party tools without warranties or conditions. Use of such tools is at your discretion and risk.
