Who we are

Our website address is https://mapvie.com. We operate under the brand name MAPVIE, managed by VASILIKI TSEPA SINGLE MEMBER P.C., a registered company in Greece (Ermou 14, 14452 Metamorfosi). For privacy-specific inquiries, contact us at info@mapvie.com.

Our map editor is hosted at https://studio.mapvie.com and is part of the same service, operated by the same company.

What personal data we collect and why

Account and purchase data

Collected: name, email address, billing and shipping address, phone number, and payment details. Purpose: to process orders, send order updates, and provide customer support.

Your map design

Collected: the location you search for and the map view you choose — for a star map, the place, date and time you enter — together with any text, dates or names you add to your poster, and the layout, style, size and material you select. Purpose: to produce the artwork you ordered. Your design is attached to your order and is kept with the order record.

Please note that a map poster often shows a place that is personally meaningful, such as a home address. Your design is used only to produce your order and is shared only with the print partner producing it.

Location search

When you type a place name into the map editor, that text is sent to our geocoding provider, LocationIQ, which returns matching places and their coordinates. We do not send your name, email address or any account information with these requests.

Technical data

Collected: IP address, browser type, device type, and cookies. Purpose: to analyze website performance, enhance user experience, and ensure website security.

We use the country associated with your IP address to show the products available in your country and the prices that apply there, including VAT where it is charged.

Contact data

Collected: name, email address, and message content when you contact us. Purpose: to respond to inquiries and support requests. Retention: contact messages are stored for six months.
